[D1 EM] Did You Pack This Yourself? (House Tremaine)

[Ser Kenway Sloan]

With a shake of his head, Kenway replaced the packet, something, indeed, blasted ladies and their sensibilities. "Well, this seems fine," he closed the lid of the case, his expression coldly suspicious.

[Maester Simon]

"Thank you." Simon quipped happily, taking back his possessions from the overtly curious guard. "Glad to be of assistance."

[Ser Kenway Sloan]

Grunting, he waved the maester through, turning to Marten, "your pavilions are ready, if you head over there, a page will show you to your tents. Enjoy the Festival, Lord Marten."

[Marten Tremaine]

"Very good. Thank you." Marten said politely. No sense in being curt with someone who was just doing their duty after all.

"Come along, girls." He said warmly. He reached up, patting Ardent's neck fondly. "You too." With a call or two, he was able to easily round up all the dogs, starting the whole menagerie moving towards the pavilion.

"Well, here we are." He said as they moved past the guard. "Excited?"

[Maester Simon]

Simon followed his liege quietly, listening to the chatter as he did so. He had nothing to say and his teachers had stressed that a good maester was always an excellent listener.

[Mariessa Tremaine]

Leading Valerian by the reins, Mari nodded in response, but she was keeping an eye on everything around them. "Very much, father."

As well as giving a curious look to the Maester... the knight had seemed rather suspicious of him, compared to the others, or so it had seemed to her. She slowed down her pace slightly, allowing her to catch up with Simon.

"Is this your first time attending a tourney too, maester?"

[Maester Simon]

"Yes mi'lady." Simon bobbed his head at the Tremaine heir. Brushing his locks behind his ears, he continued. "It's not that there were never tourneys in Oldtown - it's more that the Maesters preferred to keep us students too busy to attend. Some did still." a small chuckle escaped his lips. "I had no such temptations though."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"Really?" She chuckled warmly, keeping a steady pace as they walked.

" But it does seem rather exciting, no?"

[Maester Simon]

"Well, tourney's tend to mean more work for maesters. People fall off horses or get injured in melee. Wounds need to be cleaned and stitched, broken bones need to be set." Simon explained demurely. "So I guess there's some excitement there? Seeing if you can make Ser Tad-Too-Confident walk again, and if Ser Mace-In-Face ever speaks again."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

Despite the seriousness of the issue, Mari giggled at the names.

"Sounds like quite a challenge," she grinned then it faded a little, as she looked at some concern in the direction of her father. "... I hope it won't be much use for it," she murmured quietly to Simon. "I sometimes worry father forgets his age."
