[D3 EN] Interaction: A Single Scream

[Terrance Stone]

"It seems that way." Terrance nodded as he looked up at the keep.

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"Why would anyone..." Simon muttered, trying to see where the lady might have fallen. "Why lady Alicent said that, mi'lday. Did she see it happen?"

Mari gestured for Alicent and Simon to step closer as she lowered her voice. She had no reason to distrust Alicent, and she felt it odd that it had been an accident... maybe it was just the Tremaine's recent experience that made her more worried it was something less benign than an accident.

"Lady Alicent, I believe you, but I also want you to elaborate."

[Alicent Feyther]

"Why would anyone..." Simon muttered, trying to see where the lady might have fallen. "Why lady Alicent said that, mi'lday. Did she see it happen?"

"Lady Alicent, I believe you, but I also want you to elaborate."

"It's..." She glanced toward Simon. Even if she told him, he'd never believe her. "I... thought I saw something farther up." It wasn't really a lie. She just hadn't seen it here, exactly. And she only thought she might have seen something. "Maester Simon, I'm going to come with you to help examine her. Maybe there will be something that can confirm it."

She was on automatic, almost instinctive mode. Not quite panic, but distracted enough that her instinct told her to handle the situation.

[Maester Simon]

"No mi'lady. Leave that to maester Hubert. If he asks for help, then I'll help him." he turned to look at Mariessa. "This is Meadows land, she's Meadows handmaid and that makes it a Meadows problem." Simon muttered, shaking his head. "I am sure someone has called for maester Hubert. If not, he'll see to the body in the morning. Either way, we should only offer to help."

"Good ser, " Simon called out to Kenway. "Please inform maester Hubert that I am at his disposal should he need help." He made it a collegial offer rather than political one. Everyone knew Tremaine was sworn to Meadows. Their assistance was expected IF it was required. Else, they would stand aside.

[Mariessa Tremaine]

Mari crossed her arms over her chest, eyes narrowing at the Maester who was telling her what to do.

She looked away from him, partially ignoring him as she was looking at the septa and all the ladies-in-waiting that arrived at the scene as well. They had been here when she arrived, as was the septa. "Jyn..." she looked to her sister, her fingers tapping against Mari's lips. Let's speak with them. "Let us comfort our fellow ladies. Tremaines do not let the Meadows stand alone in this tragedy."

[Claryssa]

Having grown up on the streets in one of the Free Cities, Claryssa was not exactly new to death at her literal feet. That and she could tell when something was seriously amiss. While she held her wits about her, Kylie was a little less used to blood. She didn't want to leave her mistress, who to her credit was holding up fairly well.

She spied Leovall a short distance from them alongside with Terrance. "Ser Leovall. Ser Terrance." She greeted quietly.

Kylie looked up from Claryssa's shoulder and as they went toward the men in question. "I wish we were seeing one another under better circumstances." Kylie spoke softly, something that was trying to resemble a smile shaping her lips.

"Perhaps I should see if the Septa requires help." Claryssa curtsied to the group before making her way to join the huddle of softly whimpering girls.

[Kylie Redwyne]

Kylie watched as Claryssa went to comfort the girls who undoubtedly knew the deceased. "She is probably more used to scenes like this one from her time in Braavos. Her strength may be a comfort to them right about now." She held the robe around her a little tighter for comfort more than the cold as she looked up at the men.

[Jynessa Tremaine]

Jyn stayed attached to her sister during the proceedings. After her sister had spoken up, she gave a mellow nod. "Of course. It would be a blunder to not speak with them." The younger twin led the two of them to the gathering of Meadows women.

[Maester Hubert]

Annoyed at Simon’s apparent refusal, for he assumed that was what the younger man was saying to Kenway after he’d been waved over, Hubert hunkered by the body and leaned closer to investigate.

[Ser Kenway Sloan]

At the maester’s request, Kenway had just ordered his men to tighten the cordon, and he moved quickly to block the passage of the Braavosi woman. “Excuse me, miss, I need you to stay back right now,” his eyes narrowed with suspicion, one didn’t usually see non-Westerosi in Grassy Vale, first she vanishes before the guards can get a good look at her, and then she appears where there’s a body.

The Tremaine twins, however, whom he’d known for a long time, he allowed to pass with only an annoyed expression.
