Festival of Roses

Terrance entered the keep, inquiring if Ser Kenway was available.

Kenway appeared in short order, the Festival had been keeping him busy, especially with the doubled guard. The master at arms didn’t look dour, however, though his expression was serious. “Terrance? You asked for me?”

"Aye, Ser Kenway. I apologise for disturbing you." he nodded. "I heard something yesterday that I thought you should be aware of. It's minor, simply involving some cutpurses, but I didn't feel I should ignore it, either.

Kenway nodded, “no bother at all, young man. Tell me, what is it that you’ve heard, then?”

"I was in the Empty Mug, yesterday." he explained. "I overheard someone talking about a cut purse assaulting someone in the market. Apparently, it's happened a few times. I heard someone mention a guild opperating out of the docks, emboldened to be more aggressive by the opportunity the festival brings."

Kenway nodded, stern and thoughtful, “that matches with my reports. Thank you for bringing this to me.”

"Of course. We've greatly enjoyed the hospitality of Grassfield Keep." he smiled. "I couldn't allow those trying to spoil that to go unnoticed."

"Good man," Kenway answered. "And safe journeys homeward, when the time comes."

"Thank you, Ser Kenway." he nodded. "If there is anything I can do for you while we are still here, please ask. The festival and some of the unfortunate incidents have kept you busy, I'm sure."

Kenway huffed, breaking character for the first time in several days, "that it has. Lord Bromley doubled the watch, so I've got twice as many complaints in my ear about assignments and lost sleep and missing the tourney. I'll keep your offer in mind."
