"I'm more than happy to do it, truly. We're all the same in the eyes of The Seven. Those of service are no different than we Lords and Ladies if given a chance. So many work harder in ways I never will." She smiled, watching Claryssa dance. "Septa Adelayde and Septon Kane have been excellent teachers in this. These people deserve some joy after all they do."

She dipped her head in acknowledgement. "Tell me, are Septons permitted to dance?" She smiled broadly.

“I’m sure they are, child, but these old bones creak like a storm gale down Market Row, and these legs don’t move like they once did.”

She gave him a sympathetic smile. "I would offer to meet your pace, but I have a feeling that finding you a place to comfortably sit to enjoy the festivities from would be more useful to you. There are some chairs by the long table with the food. You could visit with nearly everyone. If your amenable, might I have the honor of escorting you? I can bribe you with some of the bread I brought." She moved alongside him a bit so that she might take his arm if he allowed it.

Terrance found himself among the smallfolk with a broad smile on his face. He danced a bit, enjoying the simpler, less formal, and more energetic forms not found in the ballrooms of the kingdoms. Part of him felt much more at home here.

“The company of a kind young lass like yourself is bribe enough,” he took her arm. He was not yet infirm, but age had slowed him somewhat, not that the Septon had ever really had reason to hurry.
