[D1 EE] RP Thread: Bread and Salt

[Mariessa Tremaine]

Mari was a little taken with the sight of Alicent's silver hair, enough to make her stop looking at the various knights and young noblemen in attendance. Though, Marten's comment about Jyn's chattering made her focus back on her family again.

She gave a silent gesture to Jyn, wobbling her hand a little. Things are fine, for now.

"... I sometimes feel like people have never seen twins before, sister," she commented to her sister, noticing some of the looks they got.

[Leovall Marten]

"Well, thank you my lady." He bows slightly, trying to remember anything about the Feythers. "It would indeed be a joy to make new friends. Please." Leovall was glad for the spot beside his cousin... even if Alicent would then be two seats to his left. Again he moved to pull out a chair to offer a noblewoman a seat. "Allow me to introduce my cousins, Liliance and Terrance." He pauses briefly before saying Terrance's name, though he does indicate each with a small flowing hand movement.

Taking his own seat again and brushing his hair to the left he turns her way. He hoped one or both could help fill the silence as he was a bit lost for words.

[Jynessa Tremaine]

Jyn peered across the hall as well and then back to Mari. She gave a small, shocked face to her sister. That is odd, is it not?

"Thank you, father," she stated with a wry, teasing grin.

[Terrance Stone]

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Lady Feyther." Terrance dipped his head. "I am Terrance Stone, Master of the Hunt, for House Marten, accompanying Lord Leovall and Lady Liliane."

[Liliane Marten]

"A pleasure Alicent. Please make yourself comfortable," she said in spite of not seeming quite so herself, "I hope your journey to Grassfield Keep was happily uneventful?"

[Alicent Feyther]

"A pleasure to meet you both, as well, Terrance, Liliane," she greeted warmly, nodding. "Largely uneventful," she agreed. "Marten... that's... a House a the Vale, isn't it? I suppose my journey wasn't near as long as yours. I hope yours was uneventful, as well."

[Marten Tremaine]

Jyn peered across the hall as well and then back to Mari. She gave a small, shocked face to her sister. That is odd, is it not?

"Thank you, father," she stated with a wry, teasing grin.

As usual Marten noticed the looks and gestures between the two girls. And, as usual, he was entirely incapable of deciphering them. He glanced back and forth between them, amused.

"I was also asking Mari if she was enjoying herself, and was going to ask you the same question. I hope I can take your chattiness as a yes?"

[Maester Simon]

Simon sat further away than the nobles, happily dripping his bread into broth before stuffing it in to his mouth as he looked around the great hall. Vert, rose argent. Vert, lily argent. Vert, sunflower argent. Vert, shoe argent. What? the young maester frowned, trying to make sense of the painted shields on the walls. He made a mental note to ask maester Hubert about the boot, it bugged him. Then again, the arms of one of the most famous houses of the reach was green hand.

[Liliane Marten]

"A pleasure to meet you both, as well, Terrance, Liliane," she greeted warmly, nodding. "Largely uneventful," she agreed. "Marten... that's... a House a the Vale, isn't it? I suppose my journey wasn't near as long as yours. I hope yours was uneventful, as well."

"Yes, in the mountains a little West of Gulltown actually," she said relating it to the main city back home, "My aunt insisted we take a boat across the Bay of Crabs to avoid the Hill Tribes. So it was not dangerous." Though it sounded like she wasn't thrilled by that, "On the other hand Maidenpool was rather nice."

[Maester Hubert]

Maester Hubert threw the partridge bones he'd just stripped with his teeth into the provided bowl and sucked each finger in turn. With a sniff and a humph he hauled himself to his feet, prowling along the length of the table, looking for something. His search was interrupted, however, as he spotted Simon's chain, manoeuvring himself closer and elbowing another guest aside to make room for his prodigious belly next to Simon on the bench.

"Evening, young man," he reached for the grilled fish in front of him.
