Elwood enters the Hall with Rayley on his arm, the pair dressed in finery befitting their station. With his wife at his side, Elwood struts like a peacock in full display, head high and a smug expression. They are followed, in short order, by Lord Bromley, and guided to high-backed chairs placed in front of where the musicians will play. Their arrival, and taking their seats signals that it is time for the performance to begin, and the other guests move to find places on the long wooden benches.

by Mariessa Tremaine
Arriving with her family, dressed in a sky-blue and silver
dress with sunflowers embroidered on, Mari was positively excited with an evening of music and dance. This is what she had heard so much about that proper lords and ladies would do at gatherings like these!
"This is so exciting!" she had completely forgotten the concerns of last night, as she was right away swept up in the fanciness of it all.

Liliane arrived in the
fancier dress her mother had sent her with and soon was bouncing about on her toes. If she was home or not wearing a corset she'd have done some flips but instead she made do with a few pirouettes. She giggled, "What fun!"

As she spun, she suddenly found herself in the arms of another guest, he grinned, "you look stunning, Lady Liliane." He whirled her across the dance floor, competent enough not to crush any delicate toes, but utterly devoid of grace.

As Marten moved across the dance floor, he smiled. The music changed, and he suddenly found himself dancing with a new partner. He gave her a smile, looking surprisingly youthful. "Milady." He said. With impressive elan and grace, he lead her out onto the dance floor.
(feel free to be his partner!)

Alicent showed up in a
dress of darker design that fitted close in the top and filled out at the hips. The long sleeves made it a little more comfortable during the cooler day, and the lack of dragging skirts made dancing easier and mud easier to navigate. She smiled as she spotted Marten and took his arm to head out to the dance floor. "Milord, a pleasure to see you again."

"Why Ser I am glad to see dancing is one of your talents," she giggled as she spun around gracefully on her toe tips, "It makes me glad I got all dressed up for this."

Grinning, Rychard did his best to keep up, his eyes only on her, "I'm glad too, but to me you look equally enchanting in hunting garb with a bow in your hand." He winked, and used his thumb to lift a length of chain he was wearing about his neck, showing Liliane a peek of the rabbit's foot hidden beneath his shirt.

Another day, Marten might have felt awkward dancing with a woman less than half his age. But at the moment, he was feeling very exceptional.
"Milady Alicent." He said, inclining his head with a smile, even as he moved. "That was a lovely song you sang earlier. I didn't recognize it."

Jyn appeared next to her sister, goblet in hand. She motioned over to their father before taking a sip of her wine. "I suppose this is better than Shana Crane."
