[Alicent Feyther]

Ali settled onto the other chair. "Not for me. There was a time around 10 years ago when I was allowed to accompany Caim to different tournaments for a while. It is exciting, though it can also get pretty brutal."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"Ooh," she sounded a little impressed, but a little worried as well.

"Not too brutal, I hope? I'm a little worried for father. He's not as young as he used to be, even if I have great faith in his skill. "

[Alicent Feyther]

She looked toward Mari, trying to decide how much to reassure her and how much to be realistic. "Well... It would be a lie to say I've never seen a death at a tournament, but it's very uncommon. I'm not worried about my brother, and her and your farther aren't far distant in age. Try not to occupy your thoughts too much with remote possibilities," she finally offered with a slight smile.

Mari sighed a little, but nodded. "You're right... I shouldn't worry about the things I cannot do anything about. Thank you... I'm just... easily worried about him these days." She smiled sheepishly.

"Your brother is the same age as my father?" she asked with some curiosity.

"They're not that far from one another relatively speaking," she clarified. "Closer in age to your father than he is to me, anyway."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"Oh... that is quite the different in age then." It sounded a little weird to her, as her sister was the same age, and their brother had been rather close too. "Many siblings then, or...?"

[Alicent Feyther]

"Just my two brothers... They're 35 and 31." She was well aware of how strange she was, and was growing a little uncomfortable having it drawn attention to again. This girl was going to think she was weird and not want to talk to her again. "What about yourself?"

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"Ah, I see. It must have been fun with brothers who were so much older than you, as I doubt they would have been as teasing as young boys can be," she suggested with a friendly tone.

"Me? Ah well... I'm only 16, and so is my sister. As we're twins. Our brother was a few years older than us..." Mari's smile faltered a little.

[Alicent Feyther]

"Ah, I'm sorry..." There was a short pause. "Well, I guess you could say I was more raised by Bryen and Caim than anyone. In some ways, I've kind of been the older sister to my nieces and nephews... so... Yeah, it has been pretty fun," she admitted and a smile, trying to distract Mari a little bit from unpleasant thoughts. "I guess you and your sister and I are all the same age, then."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"It does sound like a rather big and happy family," Mari chuckled. She at least seemed to be someone who easily put the darkness behind her. "It does seem that way! I'm just so glad we're not the only young ones here, you know. Us girls need to stick together, don't you think? I've been told that tends to terrorize the men more as they get nervous when women flock together, especially when we giggle and whisper while looking in their direction."
