"You would know the Bromleys better than I my lady. However, I would not be surprised if they had some secrets. Few Houses have none, isn't that so?" He touches his chest and smiles. "Like you and Claryssa. I will keep your guard's existence a secret. You have my vow on that."

Kylie nodded his way. "I thank you for that, my Lord. I worried very little, but such a promise from you is one that I firmly believe."

She looked intrigued for a moment. "I don't know if my family carries many secrets. When you can be made tipsy by trying to keep up with your company, it's best not to have many to spill." Kylie laughed. "No pun intended, of course."

She sighed. "I'm afraid I don't know the Meadows very well. But if there is a Tyrell match to be made with them, I'll likely get to know them better. Especially as it's Olymer. He is one of my cousins I get on quite well with."

Leovall looks pleased, and listens as Kylie continues. He chuckles at her comments initially. However, as she sighs he gives her a curious look and nods sympathetically as she continues. "Tell me a little about him?" It seemed a good change of topic.

Their meeting was momentarily interrupted by the Marten's sole servant humbly and respectfully entering to set some soup, and delicious bread, on the table. Leovall gives a nod, but his attention remains on Kylie.

"He is very noble, and one of the few people I know I can trust with my true nature. As I explained during our dances last night, I have a tendency to try activities of those that serve others." As if on cue, the servant arrived. She giggled.

"He has always been supportive of the endeavor. I don't have to tell you that an abundance of nobles would not approve of such activities. It would be unseemly or treated as lowering myself, even if for a few hours." She sighed but smiled. "Olymer isn't like that, though. He's always taken an interest in that which interest me. I can only hope that Lady Lysa finds him as wonderful as I do."

That brought up a thought. "What have you heard of Lady Lysa? I admit, I haven't heard much but I am wondering if there is a way to forge a friendship with her."

Sounds more open minded than most. That's something. His own House were fairly open minded about a lady's activities as long as she could look and behave properly when there were important guests. Perhaps having to often fight side by side with commoners or at least to rely on them so closely for protection caused that?

He smiles and dips his head as the servant bows and excuses himself. That smile soon shone for Kylie. "A fine cousin you have. I'd like to meet him before the tournament's end." He clears his throat softly. "As for Lady Lysa I can only apologise for I know very little about her." He wasn't from the local area and he'd never met her before the tournament so it would likely not come as a surprise.

"I'm sure he'd like that as well, Ser Leovall." She took a spoonful of soup. "And no need to apologize, I'm merely curious."

"Tell me about your sister. She seems lovely, and I was afraid all of our dark talk might have scared her off me." She eyes apologetic.

"My sister...?" Loraine was still back at Fort Leonart so he grins as he catches her likely meaning. "You must mean Liliane. She is my cousin, from my uncle Landon. She's outgoing and very active. Erm, you would remember she won the archery contest today. She's practises with our House archers." He chuckles as he recalled something. "Actually, she's better than all but a few of their best veterans. The commoners back home are very fond of her. She can be a little prickly or aloof around strangers, but she means well." By that he meant nobles she had to always be proper around yet he dared not say that. "She has a big heart. I doubt you'd find getting to know her difficult. If you're looking for common ground... hmm. It's probably best you aim for music and dance." He taps the table with his fingers. "She might also enjoy some pointers on fashion from the Reach."

Thinking that answer suitably diplomatic he joined the lady in enjoying the soup. Ham and pea? Not bad at all.

Kylie covered her face. "Oh no! I must again ask your forgiveness for being woefully uninformed. First we think Terrance a knight, then your cousin your sister. No offense was intended by this, I assure you. It's my horrible fault."

"Truthfully, I might be interested in learning marksmanship, but music and dance are good areas as well."

"An easy mistake to make Lady Kylie. Why, I've already forgotten it." He assures her cheerfully after finishing his mouthful. He reaches for some bread to dip, nodding at her suggestion. "I'm sure she'd like that."

She breathed an audible sigh of relief at his forgiveness. Some might have taken it to mean that she hadn't bothered to learn about his family, or that he was beneath her notice. But it seemed Leovall already knew her well enough that he would not mistake her misinformation for disinterest.

She lowered her voice, "I want to thank you sincerely for looking after me this evening while Claryssa investigates. It's not every day that I have a handsome knight at my side as both protector and dinner company." She smiled with a spark in her eyes.

Returning to regular volume, "I will send Liliane an invitation to teach some marksmanship if she's interested. But I also have quite the collection of gowns with me that I'd be happy to show off. Even though I do enjoy working with the people of The Arbor, I must admit to enjoying the dance floor under my feet a bit more than grapes."

"And you have sister back at home. Would you tell me about her in case we are ever to meet. Maybe I'll avoid embarrassing myself."
