How Was Your Day? (Day 6, EE)

[Terrance Stone]

"I don't like to think that anyone would put another through that, but there are terrible people in this world." he said. "Because of them, we should appreciate noble souls such as Ser Harben and yourself."

Wine was poured as a servant brought dinner out. The main dish was roast pheasant, with roasted vegetables.

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"Thank you, it's... too kind, really." She fell silent as the meal was brought out, taking her time before finding her words again.

"I... really should apologize, for the other night, Terrance. It was rude of me, and you deserved better."

[Terrance Stone]

"It's fine Mari, I caught you off guard." he shook his head. "Coming here tonight more than makes up for it."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"More than a little," she agreed with a bashful smile to the comment on him catching her off-guard. "I just... got the impression at first you probably weren't interested, in that way. That you were just humouring a silly little girl."

[Terrance Stone]

"And, I wasn't certain what you were expecting of me." he admitted. "My experience with you has been different than what I've experienced in the past. More enjoyable. Even my discussion with your father went better."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"I certainly hope so," she laughed a little as she had a sip of wine. "... My father means well, even if he is a bit overbearing sometimes. I can't really blame him for it, though, even if it is rather embarrassing."

"Maybe it was hard for me to say what I expected, as I wasn't really sure myself. Honestly, it's the first time I've tried this whole... courtship-thing. I was never really that kind of girl before, the one that would flirt with the boys."

[Terrance Stone]

"He was fine. I enjoyed our talk." he smiled. "He didn't object to me, at least."

He sipped at his wine. "I'm not used to this courtship-thing, either. The women I've known weren't looking for that, not from me. But, I like this. I like you."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"I... like you too. I wouldn't have come here if I didn't," she offerred with a smile as she helped herself to some of the food. Mari was realising now how hungry she was after the melee.

"Ah... this probably sounds odd, but I suppose I can understand why you seem to have been popular with other ladies. You are charming, after all."

[Terrance Stone]

"Thank you." he smiled, taking a few bites himself. "You are enchanting. Beautiful as any courtly flower, but just as alluring for your willfulness and spirit."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"Now you're really being charming," she laughed a little, seeming slightly more at ease now that they had cleared up the misunderstandings.

"Willfulness and spirit?" Mari wondered if there was more to it.
