"It's alright, lady Kylie," Mari offered a brave smile. "I can't fault you for not knowing... we're a small house, so I'm not surprised it hadn't reached the ears of the Redwynes yet."

"I suppose I should feel lucky," she giggled softly. "It's all just really odd to me... I was never the girl who was flirting with the boys, or the one who had the most boys trying to flirt with me."

The Redwyne rushed to reassure Mariessa, realizing she might have made her feel as though it was unimportant. She needed to explain the truth of things. "Oh, I'm certain the news reached The Arbor. It just may not have reached me. I'm not always informed of important events on the mainland."

"And speaking of important events, I must confess I also have my eye on a knight. Ser Leovall Marten."

"Their expressions are fun when you do," Alicent admitted, looking a little bit amused. She was the type to flirt with the boys. It had gotten her a stern talking to from her sister in law a time or two. "Anyway, more suitors is a better problem than none, I'd say. As to that... I am sometimes out of the loop myself, as well. Sometimes they don't seem to think ladies have an interest in the important news of their lands..." She shook her head, then looked at Mari. "Is it different if you're heir?"

"I met him a couple of times... I can see how he would be a good choice." If I did marry Ser Lorent, I would be sad if you left the Reach, then, though... Her eyebrows knit a bit. It was silly to be jealous about something like that.
