How Was Your Day? (Day 6, EE)

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"Mhm, I will ask Maester Simon in the morning." She nodded. "I'm sure he could help you too, if you seek him out. He is rather skilled from what I've seen."

[Terrance Stone]

"I'd appreciate that." he smiled. "He may have his hands full with your escort, though. Kevith was quite impressive in battle. I'm glad I didn't face him."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"Kevith is quite the man," she agreed with a grin. "Though he was quite disappointed he couldn't claim victory for our House, like he did in the wrestling... I know that if it had been a more serious fight, he would have pushed himself even further and been far more unrelenting, but... mostly I think he finally realised that he too is getting older."

Just like father. "He is one of the strongest and most dedicated warriors we have. And he taught me quite a few tricks for fighting."

[Terrance Stone]

"Did he now?" Terrance grinned. "I'd like to see what he's taught you. I bet you could have outlasted a few of us today."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

It was just too tempting to tell him.

"Who says I didn't?" she said in a quiet tone, hoping none would overhear.

[Terrance Stone]

"I won't, unless you want me to." he chuckled. "There was a mysterious knight out there, who lasted longer than I did. Very impressive."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"Not by much though. You held up quite well with two knights teaming up to get you," she smiled in return. "But maybe another weapon would have suited you more?"

[Terrance Stone]

"I only had my axe and my dagger." he shook his head. "Not much better against plate than my spear. My mistake was being aggressive. I should have fought more defensively from the start. But, I wanted to keep him off Leo."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"A noble sentiment," Mari nodded... she recalled seeing Kevith charge across the field to stop the two Tyrells from reaching her father. And she imagined Terrance probably would have done the same for his cousin.

"So, axe, spear, and dagger? No training with swords or other weapons?"

[Terrance Stone]

"I've trained with a number of weapons, but I'm best with a spear." he answered. "Swords and such aren't the most useful for hunting, either. My bow and my spear are best for that. A good axe is helpful in the wild and a dagger is always useful."
