[D8 EE] The Wounded Dragon

[Ser Lorent Tyrell]

Shaking his head, “no, it’s nothing, at least nothing that matters.” The servant led them past an open door, the sickroom where Harben languished silent and alone, and up a flight of curved stone steps. Alicent, having been to the maester’s study before, knew precisely where they were, as the servant knocked and called for Hubert.

[Alicent Feyther]

She paused near Harben's room - she remembered being there and hoped he was okay, resolving to visit later, once she was patched up. It was barely half a beat of pause, though, before she continued, walking up the stairs. "Please? If it's nothing, then it won't be any trouble to hear it." She wasn't sure if she could deal with being shut out at the moment, even if it wasn't anything major.

As they waited for Hubert to bid them entry, Lorent showed her his empty hand, “I was carrying something earlier, I must have dropped it. I promise, it wasn’t important,” he smiled, hand warm against the small of her back.

[Alicent Feyther]

She put a hand in the pocket of her cloak, taking out what she'd picked up from the ground, the crushed silver and gold flower. She held it out with her good hand. "Was it this? I noticed it on the ground earlier."

Lorent’s smile grew, warm and genuine, “it is,” he touched the petals with a fingertip, “I’m sorry, it was supposed to be a gift for you, I-“ he peered at the silk awkwardly, “I think I ruined it.”

[Maester Hubert]

Hubert, looking as though he’d gained five years in the last two days, threw open the door, “what is it?” He sounded less gruff and more weary, defeated, apologetic.

[Alicent Feyther]

She opened her mouth to reply, but was distracted by the appearance of the maester. "I'm sorry to bother you, Maester Hubert, but..." She hesitantly pulled back the cloak to show her broken wrist. "Something happened to my back as well... I don't know how bad it is, though."

[Maester Hubert]

The Maester frowned, “of course, of course, please come in young lady.” He lifted his gaze to Lorent, “thank you, you can leave now.”

[Ser Lorent Tyrell]

Scowling, “I don’t think so, Maester.”

[Alicent Feyther]

"It's fine if he's here," she clarified, as she entered the room at his invitation.
