Festival of Roses

While most everyone was heading in the direction of the main Keep to see what all the fuss was about, Alavin was moving in the opposite direction. He had his sights set firmly on Maester Simon’s pavilion, a tin flute in his hand.

He arrived, looking about for a moment, there was nowhere he could sexily arrange himself, so he settled for standing a few feet from Simon’s ‘door’, and raised the instrument to his lips, beginning a soothing tune that slowly segued into something merry and upbeat.

Moments later Simon's head peeked out from his tent as he tried to locate the source of music with his sleepy eyes. Scratching his neck groggily. "Uhh.." was all he managed to mutter. "Alavin.. What in the name of Seven you are doing here?"

Lowering the flute, Alavin smiled in a way that most would find enchanting, he swept an exaggerated bow, “you seeemd to enjoy the music last night, so I wanted to bring a little of that to you.” He was, again, painfully chipper for the hour of the morning.

"Uh... thank you." Simon blinked. still wondering why the mummer seemed so fixated with him. "Um.. couldn't this have waited until later? I was sleeping you know."

Alavin swept towards Simon, ushering the Maester back into his tent, “what better way to wake up, than to beautiful music?”

"Uh.. I guess?" flabbergasted, he let the other man to lead him to his own tent. "Did you need something?"

Boldly, and without any hesitation, Alavin placed a hand on the maester’s shoulder and turned the man so they were looking into each other’s eyes, “only you.”

"Uh? What do you mean." he squinted his eyes, noting how handsome the blasted mummer actually was. "I am afraid I don't understand."

Never one to do anything by halves, Alavin chose to demonstrate his meaning. The slightly taller man threw his arms enthusiastically around the Simon’s shoulders, bending his neck and pressing a firm kiss upon the handsome Maester.

"Mhmhm..." Simon pushed the man away from himself. "Uh.. now, Alavin, um... I really shouldn't. I am sorry." a pang of regret flashed in his eyes. "It's that that I wouldn't mind but... I have given a vow." his long, delicate fingers played with the links hanging from his neck. "And I take my word seriously."
