[D9 EA] Closing Ceremonies

Lily took the purse and offered a curtsy to the crowd with a grin before taking her leave. She rejoined the crowd with a laugh. Skirting off course for a moment to detour over towards Ser Rychard. "I hope you are doing well. I was worried after you didn't make an appearance at the lists after that hit you took in the melee."

Cheerfully, “ah, I got eliminated from the lists early. When a man can’t even beat Ser Elwood at the tilt, you know he’s just not cut out for jousting. Been spending a fair portion of time in the forest, bolstering the rations for the last days of the festival,” he winked.

As the crowd died down, the herald made his next announcement, “for first place in the steeplechase, Ser Leovall Marten.” The heir from the Vale didn’t get quite the reception his cousin enjoyed, but crowds cheered and clapped for him.

"Well, that is better news," she said with a smile before turning to applaud her cousin. "The food has been good the last few days. I should have guessed you might have been behind that. Any notable catches?"

It was something he was used to. Liliane had a way with people that he lacked... and she was very pleasing to the eye. He had years before reconciled these details with his place in the family and his own accomplishments. Besides, he enjoyed seeing her gain acclaim. Accepting his own with a smile he returned to the main stand head held high. I may have been knocked down in the jousts but I've done well for my family. Chin up Leovall!

"Lord Bromley." Leo greets in a friendly manner. "However did you know?" He says in jest for earlier, bowing once more to the host.

[Ser Rychard Bridges]

"Well, that is better news," she said with a smile before turning to applaud her cousin. "The food has been good the last few days. I should have guessed you might have been behind that. Any notable catches?"

Rychard applauded eagerly for her cousin, “you flatterer,” he laughed. “We took down a boar. Tonight won’t have all the pomp and ceremony of a feast, but it will have some fine roast pig.”

"Lord Bromley." Leo greets in a friendly manner. "However did you know?" He says in jest for earlier, bowing once more to the host.

“You’re a fine horseman, you should be proud,” Bromley told him as he handed over the second purse.

Accepting the prize graciously he is soon heading back to his seat to watch the further award giving.

The herald stepped forward again. “For placing third in the Grand Melee, Kevith Uller,” he forged on before the crowd could break into applause, “for placing second in the Grand Melee, Ser Caim Feyther, and,” he took a deep breath, “for being the last man standing and winning the Grand Melee, Ser Covey Dunn.” The stands erupted with noise.

[Marten Tremaine]

Marten was there, applauding politely for the winners, grinning and shaking his head when Kevith was mentioned. He seemed a bit more vibrant and cheerful than usual, the smile on his face making him look younger. His grey eyes seemed especially bright.
