[D6 LM] RP Thead: Grand Melee, Healer’s Area

by Maester Simon
Since his lord was taking part to the melee and since he had nothing else to do, really, Simon joined maester Huber. He stood under the canvas, having spread his equipment on a small cloth quilt he carried. Small vials of costly analgesics sat besides rolls of gauze and tinctures meant to clean small wounds. He saw down on a small chair, wincing a little as he did so. Alavin had been eager as he had been passionate. Small pains were a price worth paying for such enjoyment, Simon mused. It had been a while. The Tremaine lands, where everyone knew everyone, were hardly conductive for such affairs.

Alicent was waiting alongside them, her on equipment nearby. She just hoped they wouldn't wait to get treated if Simon and Hubert we're both busy. She was wearing her plain clothing - she didn't want to ruin any of her dresses with blood, and blood there would assuredly be.

Maester Hubert was directing a number of servants as the Grand Melee began with a clatter and ringing of fighters converging on each other.

The first of the combatants arrived, bleeding copiously from near his shoulder where Marten Tremaine's halberd had come down on his back-plate, creasing it and causing the chainmail beneath to scrape through the thick undershirt and take a chunk out of his flesh.

The second combatant to arrive was Elwood Meadows, a wound in his side where Lorent's spear had split the chainmail and pierced his side.

Performing Triage
Make a Healing (Diagnosis) Test, Routine (TN6), to asses the patient’s injuries and provide initial first aid.
For each degree after the first, when making a Healing (Treat Injury) roll to remove the diagnosed Injury/Wound, convert 1 Bonus Die to a Test Die. If you can convert more dice than you have, the remaining degrees become Bonus Dice.

Removing Injuries and Wounds
On the back of strenuous activity, such as the fighting that inflicted said Injuries and Wounds, the Difficulty of removing them is:
● Injury, TN12 (remove 1 Injury per degree), retry 1 day.
● Wound, TN21 (remove 1 Wound, plus additional Wounds at 3 and 4 degrees), retry 1 week.

After a night’s rest, the Difficulty will fall to TN6 (Injury) and TN9 (Wound).

Terrance joined the other wounded, slowly walking towards the healers while leaning on his spear. Blood flowed freely down one leg, where a large gash in his leather armor revealed a deep cut into his flesh.

Ahead of Terrance is Rychard, bearing three cracked ribs where Kevith had hit him.

Close on Rychard's heels is Harben, the lower part of his breastplate had been caved in, and the boy struggled to breath until a squire began to undo the straps.

The Mystery Knight limped to the healers as well, but kept away from the knights and lords that had come first.

There was a gash along the thigh where Caim's sword had struck the hardest, and the mysterious fighter was avoiding putting weight on the leg as much as possible.
