Kevith sighed as he accompanied Mari to the sept. He didn't care much for the ways of the gods, because to him the gods didn't seem to care much for the world or its people, but the young lady wished to go there...
Mari wore a light cloak over her clothes as she had already dressed herself for the feast, hiding the surprise of her fine ensemble. She gave a nod to Kevith, and he found a spot to wait outside the sept as the young Tremaine headed inside.
Breathing in the air of the place, Mari looked around, trying to figure out who she should pray to... would the Maiden or the Mother be best to ask for guidance in terms of marriage? Or maybe the Father, since it was for the House?

“May I offer you guidance, child?” An aging man in simple grey robes approached, his arms were folded before him, hands tucked into his sleeves.
The sept was quiet. A handful of worshippers offered silent prayers and lit candles before the elaborate depictions of the Seven.

Mari curtsied respectfully to the septon. "I was... merely wondering which of the Seven it is best to pray to in hopes for a good future for my family? In terms of marriage, that is?" she spoke with a soft tone, so as to not disturb the peace of the sept.

The septon smiled benevolently, "I believe that would be Maiden," he indicated to the painting of a slender, youthful woman with long blonde hair that cascaded all the way to her knees. In the mural, she appeared to be feeding a head of wheat to a spotted fawn in the shade of a large tree, birds perched on the boughs.

"Thank you," she dipped her head with a smile. "I was uncertain if it would be her, or the Mother or Father, so at least I was not completely off in my guess..."

"So long as you speak true, the Gods will hear," the man soothed. "Would you like to light a candle to her?"

"Yes, please," she nodded, "I do wish for Her guidance and blessing, after all."

Halley ushered the young lady towards the painting of the Maiden. In front of each of the Sept's seven walls was a black iron stand, filled with candles, their flames glittering in the low light. The septon handed Mariessa a candle and a taper to light it with.

Mari lit the candle and placed it forth with reverence to join the gathering of light. Her hands folded together as she offered one of the hymns she had been taught as a child by her mother.
"Gentle Maiden, hear this song
From a small girl, O Maiden fair
A little blossom, growing strong
Bright and pure, in petals to wear
Lovely Maiden, guide us true
Through honour, virtue, and gentle care
As a little flower becomes too
A noble maiden fair."

I can roll to sing, if that is needed?

As the lady made her pleas, the Septon moved a respectable distance away, murmuring to another worshipper for a moment.
