[D4 EA] Hearty Lunch

[Beth]

An attractive woman approached with a bowl of thick stew, rich with vegetables, and flavoured with marrow bones. She placed the bowl in front of Harben and turned to Leovall, offering a peasant's curtsy, "here for lunch, Ser?"

[Ser Harben Varner]

"I suppose some practice cannot hurt," Harben thanked the woman, smiling. "Best make it tomorrow, Ser, the day after is the Grand Melee."

[Leovall Marten]

"Tomorrow it is." Tapping the table agreeably he turns his head to regard the server with a smile. "I've had my arm twisted, and not just in the wrestling. I'll have the same." It smells and looks delicious.

[Beth]

Beth curtsied again, "of course," and she bustled away. There didn't seem to be anyone but herself tending to the needs of the gathered knights and merchants, but no one was wanting for drink or a meal.

[Ser Harben Varner]

Harben chuckled good naturedly, "well, that Kevith put us all through our paces today."

[Leovall Marten]

Impressed at how capable the lone woman was he takes a moment to register Harben's comments. "Yes, well. Kevith is it? By the Seven he is enormous."

[Ser Harben Varner]

"Mmm," Harben tucked into his lunch, "Kevith's been with the Tremaines for as long as I can remember. He's a hell of a brawler, the man could put the Smith to shame."

[Leovall Marten]

"Seems it..." There wasn't much else to say other than to concur. The man was definitely built like a smith.

[Ser Harben Varner]

Another mouthful, a moment's thought, "I suppose you don't follow the ways of the Seven up in the Vale."

[Leovall Marten]

"What makes you suppose that?" The Andals had brought the faith of the Seven to Westeros, and they had first landed in the Vale. This played in Leo's mind as he was curious what thought had occurred to Harben.
