Festival of Roses

Dressed in green, a panel of colourful embroidered flowers on the bodice, Rayley skipped lightly on matching green silk slippers towards one of the maypoles. She laughed as one of the of the children reached out to take her hand. Her own little fingers closed around those of the boy, and together they picked out a set of ribbons.

Terrance had similarly been led to a nearby ribbon by a young girl.

"Good afternoon, milady." he offered a smile to Rayley.

Rayley curtsied prettily, there was something innocent and carefree about the way she laughed with the children, delicately tracing the steps in the grass. "Good afternoon, Terrance," she answered cheerily, "thank you for attending our little Festival."

"It has been a pleasure." he dipped his head. "We've enjoyed our time here."

Mari was flanked by children as she helped them with the ribbons for the maypole, moving along with a happy smile as they skipped and danced - it seemed like she was really Marten Tremaine's daughter, judging by how light she was on her feet.

Spotting Terrance and Rayley, she waved in their direction.
