[D1 LM] The Forest Edge

[Kylie Redwyne]

She smiled. "Not geography necessarily, though the first might be called that. Which castles are currently occupied on the Wall?"

[Leovall Marten]

He could actually recall conversations about this and even a couple of lessons devoted to the Wall. Certainly only a fraction of the fortifications along that venerable strength of land were actually fully staffed. However, Kylie did say castles so he tried to focus on those.

"Fully occupying it has been impossible I recall. The Watch divided themselves primarily between three castles along the Wall's length... Castle Black in the centre. Eastwatch by the Sea... hmm... there is a third." He crosses his arms and tries to think. "To the West..." It wasn't coming to him right away.

[Kylie Redwyne]

"That last one is the one I forget most often myself. I'm sure it will come to you. Although it is a credit to you that you know where they sit on the Wall." She sauntered along thinking of her next inquiry.

"Who will rule Dorne after Prince Doran?"

[Leovall Marten]

Leovall moved along with her, curious about her next question until it was asked.

"I believe that would be Trystane Martell." The main Houses he could do. His parents had drilled them into him relentlessly just on the off chance he ever met one.

[Kylie Redwyne]

Kylie's head dipped in respect. "You might be surprised by how many I've met who didn't know that, or thought it would be Prince Oberyn."

"Last, what is the colloquial name for the City Watch in King's Landing?"

[Leovall Marten]

This he knew well! They were, after all, just south of his own family lands. He'd even been there once. "The gold cloaks." He answered immediately and cheerfully.

[Kylie Redwyne]

"I am most impressed!" Kylie proclaimed. "Just that one castle's name and my favor is entirely yours." She lowered her eyes, smiling.

"So tell me my Lord, is this your first visit to Grassy Vale?" She was always interested in those that had traveled. Not being from the Reach she planned to pester him for details about other lands. Going and coming from an island was significantly harder than simply getting in a carriage.

[Leovall Marten]

"I will have it for you tomorrow!" He vowed earnestly, appearing pleased with himself.

"It is, yes. From one Vale to another." Leovall quips with amusement. "My parents and uncle have visited the Reach before and so I have heard about it, but this is indeed my first visit." By now he hardly paid any attention to the forest, enjoying Kylie's smile and conversation as he was.

She giggled at the joke, also enjoying his conversation as they made their way back toward the pavilions. "I've only once been to the Vale, but I think it's a place I'd like to see more of."

[Leovall Marten]

"Oh? You'll have to tell me about that. I'm finding the Reach more and more enjoyable day by day. Was it the same for you in the Vale?" Leo asks, smiling away as he begins to lead them away from the trees and toward the keep. It would be afternoon soon and no doubt both of them wanted to see and do more before the evening feast.
