(D1 LA) A river runs through it

[Leovall Marten]

"Haha! Well, I won't complain about that. If I see a handsome young nobleman tonight I'll introduce you."

[Liliane Marten]

"That would be greatly appreciated. Same goes with any knights you are treating to some wine after the jousts," she smirked, "I will even come to be shown off. It can't hurt right?"

[Leovall Marten]

"Absolutely not. Well, unless you've destroyed them at archery. Then it might." He replies wryly, giving her a wink.

[Liliane Marten]

"Yeah... men tend not to be huge fans of being trounced," she said with a laugh, "Better a pretty dress and a quick wit. And some wine. Definitely some wine."

She looked around, "Where are we riding to by the way?"

[Leovall Marten]

"Wine helps." He didn't comment further on what she had said. It had taken him some time, when they were both younger, to accept she was simply more talented than him in some things. In fact it had put him off archery. Now, however, he was proud of her abilities... hopefully she knew that.

"Everywhere and nowhere Lili, everywhere and nowhere." Stretching out his right hand in an encompassing gesture he highlights everything in front of them. "A grand adventure... until we, or the horses, get hungry."

[Liliane Marten]

She laughed, "Enjoying these more tamed lands then cousin? Just wandering about aimlessly. Honestly." She laughed again.

[Leovall Marten]

"Yes. Really yes. I'm surprised too!" He pats the back of his horse's neck cheerfully. "Come, how do you feel Lili?"

[Liliane Marten]

"Well, it is nice to not have to worry about Painted Dogs jumping out of the shrubbery," she smiled, "Perhaps we should try and come up with a way to better secure our holdings so we can do something like this more easily?"

[Leovall Marten]

"Like wiping the hillmen out? Grandfather's attempt didn't go so well, bless him." Leovall looked genuinely curious about what she might have in mind.

[Liliane Marten]

"Well, perhaps secure one of the glens nearby?" She said uncertain, "With more patrols? I'm not sure how easy it is to do but this sort of peacefulness is nice."
