"It is," he agreed, though without any great display of enthusiasm. "I find myself so restless when I can't hear the waves."

"Yes... Do you find it difficult to sleep without the sound, as well?" She asked. Some part of her wondered something that hadn't occurred to her - how long would it take her to get used to if she married someone inland? "When you live next to it, the ocean is like a person itself, with a strong presence in the lives of everyone near it."

[Ser Cortney Penrose]

Nodding, "yes. I don't often need to travel this far inland. It's almost as though the distance between me and the Narrow Sea has drained something from me. Like low tide."

[Alicent Feyther]

She nodded. It was just like that. "I find myself wondering now, whether the Sunset Sea and the Inland Sea have much of a different air to them... And how long it might take to get used to if I end up married to someone farther inland."

[Ser Cortney Penrose]

“Westerlands, is it?” he inquired, “apart from a distinct lack of salt air, how are you liking the Reach?”

[Alicent Feyther]

She nodded. "It's very verdant and beautiful. It feels peaceful... last night aside."

Cortney pressed his lips together tightly, “most unfortunate,” was all he offered on the matter.

"Yes," she agreed. Not asking made it easier on her at least. "How are you finding it, yourself, that aside?"

“The weather is pleasant enough,” he replied simply, “drier than I’m accustomed to. Not to suggest that’s a bad thing.”

"It is... I admit, I like the rain, but you're right that it isn't bad," she acknowledged with a nod. "It's nice to be able to wear something a bit lighter... Not that this is a good example."
