Grand Melee Registrations

I knew I was forgetting something. All players intending on participating in the Grand Melee will need to roll for Initiative and post here. This way I can set up the initiative order and helpful diagrams™ to be ready to go with the new day.

Merry Christmas (from the future) and Happy Day Flip

Here’s hoping that everyone has a fantastic Christmas filled with cheer and all your favourite foods and libations. I’m expecting today, tomorrow, and overmorrow to be pretty slow; so relax and enjoy your celebrations!

Today’s activities are:
● Late Morning, Tourney, Event Grounds
● Early Afternoon, Interaction, Event Grounds

As the Grand Melee brings with it the threat of grievous bodily harm, I’ll be looking to see that mostly resolved before pushing forward with the Interaction that follows. If you do find yourself in need of medical assistance following the melee, maesters will be standing by.

Good luck, and watch out for Kevith in the melee!

One Day ‘til Day Flip

With 24 hours of Day 6 remaining:
● Grand Melee! I will be ghosting participants through the final rounds to declare a winner.
● Triage! Any knights that have not been triaged by Day Flip will be attended by Maester Hubert.
● Investigations! If you plan to roll for any information gathering on Day 6, now is the time.
● XP! Session 2 ends with Day 6, granting a further 20xp. Please detail your spends in your PF if you want them to take effect on Day 7.

Maester Hubert will be making house calls EM and LM on Day 7, should anyone be seeking removal of Wounds and Injuries. Remember that Wounds and Injuries require seperate rolls.

We Have Always Been at War with Eurasia

In light of recent occurances, the new Tourney Activity will not be going ahead, and the Joust will be held on Day 8, as initially scheduled.

Day 7: Dec 30 through Jan 2
Day 8: Jan 3 through 6
Day 9: Jan 7 and on, as required

At this time the game will officially “end” on Jan 9.

Regarding Day 7

EM and LM have been left free for players to seek healing for their Wounds and Injuries. Remember that it requires separate roll for injuries and wounds. The TNs are 6 (Injury) and 9 (Wounds), removing 1 per degree.

There is only one Activity for Day 7, to allow more room for players to follow up on the previous day, and to prepare for the Joust.

Day 8 will be the Joust; and Day 9 will reveal the rewards for the Tourney, followed by a final interaction.

It’s a new year, and that means you have 2 days to get your xp spend in. If you want the changes to take effect in time for the joust, make sure you’ve posted to your PF before day flip!

Welcome to Day 8

It's finally here! The joust kicks off in LM, and concludes in EA. Things to keep in mind: there are five "phases" to the joust, so please try to get your jousts resolved within 24 hours; and everyone jousts twice, so don't laden yourself with injuries and wounds on your first match up. I will be endeavouring to make myself as available as possible for aggressive ghosting and NPC contestants. If you intend to use manoeuvres in your jousts, I strongly suggest that you post your preferred manoeuvre in your PF, otherwise I will default to none.

Round 1: Elwood v Lorent - if you'd like to me to do a breakdown of everything that happened here, let me know.

For everyone that has accrued Fame, keep in mind that Fame is lost at the end of the Festival, so best use it for the joust or the Day 9 Event.

With the final joust still pending, and a couple of post-joust threads still waiting to start, I want to give another 24 hours for Day 8 to resolve. Sorry to land that on you so late, but I am looking forward to some of the things that will be happening.

We’re in the home straight now. Participation in the closing ceremonies is not compulsory, but it is highly encouraged.

In contravention of norms, rolls for D8 can continue into D9, if needed.

Last chance to grab NPCs before the Festival ends!

Game Conclusion

I know you’re all burnt out, and/or moving on to other things, so thanks for sticking out. The game is now “officially” over, but you’re welcome to take your time wrapping things ups. For those of you participating in the Topaz Championship, good luck and have fun!

You can check out the Daily News to read about some things that happened in the immediate wake of the Festival.
