Only after cutting off Josey's path and steering her back to where they were headed does he reply. "Perhaps Lili, but it won't hurt right? My parents did urge me to consider such things. They expect me to get married soon too."

Being herd animals the smaller pony would easily fall into step behind the larger.

[Liliane Marten]

"It isn't a bad thing to be clever Leo. It is a good thing and will likely help your father from getting upset about this whole expense," she grinned, "And you probably should at least be thinking towards marriage as the heir."

[Leovall Marten]

"I am... I just..." He shuffles about awkwardly on his saddle, not finishing the sentence. "How about you? If you're not careful you'll wake up one morning soon and find out you're betrothed to some Vale knight."

[Liliane Marten]

"There are some perfectly nice Vale knights. I am not sure I would be so thrilled to marry some lordling. I can't see marrying into the Tarlys or the Tyrells ending in any way other than me being kept in a very pretty cage for example. Meanwhile I happen to know a few Vale knights that love a lady with a steady hand with a longbow."

"I doubt your father or mine would approve of you following your husband around to shoot his enemies." Leovall scoffs, slowing his horse to a stop so Liliane can catch up. Adding some pressure so Cole walks alongside the smaller horse he tries to read his cousin's expression. Unfortunately, it wasn't something he was that good at.

"A knight wouldn't be very prestigious. Even a second son or something would be better. Hmmm... there is one option, I suppose."

"Vale knights defend things. A wife that can pick off a bandit from the walls has some appeal I assure you. Family pride is less easy to manage however," she says in her defense, "Oh? And what is that option?"

[Leovall Marten]

"I know they do, I just meant that I'm sure they'd each prefer you marry someone who has men at arms to do that for them." He says in his own defense, lifting a hand to ease Lili's wounded pride. At her question he straightens in the saddle and smiles with mischief. "It's a really good option. You'd be happy, the family would too. Win-win." Being mean he doesn't reveal it however! "Can't guess? If you can keep up I might tell you~" He says with merriments, lifting his feet and readying to kick Cole all the way into a sudden gallop.

"Hey!" She tried to follow but if he was putting any real effort into it she was left in his dust. As she finally caught up she was clearly fuming.

Her cousin is laughing hard, absolutely having the time of his life as he swings Cole around to meet her. "Needed that!" He says, lifting a hand and grinning. "Sorry. Not that you can do more than thump my leg from Shadow's back." Winking playfully he tries to ignore her fuming expression. "So, what if you married a knight and had then form swear to the Martens. You could form a bannerhouse with them."

"That could work. We would need to convince the Aryns of it," she nodded though still not in the best of moods, "Or someone greater even unless there is a part of our lands you think can be split off."
