It was also rather calming on the stomach, though whether it did anything for the excess of drink was debatable. “There, doesn’t that feel better?” Shana smiled, and her fingers brushed up against his as she took the cup and set it back on the table.

"Ah..." Marten's eyebrows went up, just a little. "Quite. Thank you, milady. I suppose this is a lesson in being careful not to overindulge. A lesson I really should have learned before now."

Shana knew that a light touch was better than laying it on thick, and she murmured demurely, smiling. She picked up her goblet and sipped at her wine.

Terrance wasn't the only one who had stepped away from the table, though unlike him, Mari was still sober. Maybe that's why her dinner-partners weren't too interested in her.

Though with so much sounds and so many people, she nearly bumped into him as she turned. "Oh... Terrance? Sorry, I didn't see you there at first..."

"It's alright." he grinned. "I'm amazed I didn't bump into you. There may have been a little too much wine at my end of the table."

"Yes... We're right up to the cliff over the water, along the Ocean Road. The port and the road means there's a lot of trade that comes through... House Redwyne is too famous not to know. Some of your wine comes through our port from time to time," she replied with a smile. "The forest is nice. Have you been down to the river yet?"

"Your home sounds as lovely as your gown. " Kylie smiled, still admiring both Alicent and the gorgeous dress. Kylie may have a true fondness for understanding people and their lives - from servants to royals - but she did have a weakness for beauty and parties.

"I have not been down to the river yet. I had thought to perhaps take a ride tomorrow with my handmaid and dear friend Claryssa. Would you'd like to join us?"
