Having greeted Claryssa and Kylie with a respectful nod, unwilling to speak too much at this difficult time, he murmurs agreement to Kylie's words while continuing to inspect the horrible scene. Shaking his head after a few moments more he refocuses on the woman beside him. "Stay warm Lady Kylie." He reaches for his shoulders and remembers he hadn't put on his mantle... hadn't in a few days now. Oh well.

Tension was already high and she could practically feel Claryssa getting ready to defend herself. Despite Kylie's own feelings toward the guard's curt and obviously hypocritical words, she sought to diffuse the situation before it brought further horror to the incident.
She put her hand on Claryssa's shoulder. "Of course sir. Please forgive me; I thought my handmaid might be able to assist all of the ladies currently grieving." Kylie dipped her head slightly in respect. "Come back with me, Claryssa. There are many here that could use your strength."
"It's for the best. Come, we will only get in the way." The cordon was tight and he didn't want to be seen to be hampering any investigative efforts. He was also curious what Terrance had spotted - his cousin was forever keen eyed. Even with it being dark he might have noticed something.
Gesturing politely for Kylie and Claryssa to step back with him he taps Terrance on the shoulder. "Let's give the guards and maesters some space."
