Tremaine Trio Talks (D3, Late Morning)

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"I... I know, Jyn," she murmured, still not happy with it all, but with both of them reminding her of what was best for the House, Mari couldn't help put to think of it too.

"It's not callous, Jyn, I know you mean well." She said after having taken some time to calm herself. "Just... don't forget yourself too in all this."

[Marten Tremaine]

Marten gave a bit of a forced chuckle. "I'd like to say right now that I don't want either of my daughters to have to marry an imbecile."

He looked back and forth between them. "Lord Bromley did inquire as to if any arrangements are being made." He held up a hand. "Don't let it worry you. It's just on his mind. Nevertheless, if either of you meet any promising young men, well, I'd like to meet them." He took an aggressive bite of the breakfast.

[Jynessa Tremaine]

"I am already attempting some arrangements. Time will tell if they follow through." She took another scoop of her food and chewed on it for a long while to indicate that she would speak no more on her plans.

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"Mhm, so you're going to give them all the fatherly interrogation, is that it?" Mari teased as her mood improved a little.

That 'uncle' Bromley was interested in the issue didn't surprise her. "Leovall Marten I've met, but... he's heir to his House, I think, so that's more something for Jyn than for me," she glanced to her sister, "otherwise... well, there's lots of other knights here too for the tourney."

[Marten Tremaine]

"Oh?" Marten glanced at Jyn. He waited for quite a while, but her capacity to chew seemed unlimited.

Shrugging, he turned to Mari, smiling. "Yes, I absolutely do intend to give them a fatherly interrogation." He gave a nod. "Each and every one."

"I did meet Leovall, yesterday." Marten gave a non-committal shrug. "He took good care of his horse, and complimented Argent. That's worth something." He glanced over to Jyn, to see her reaction. If there was one. Or he could recognize it.

[Jynessa Tremaine]

Jynessa looked at both of them as they spoke of Leovall and his suitability as a match. She let out a soft sigh and set aside her food for a moment. "An heir to a house is surely a good match. However, I believe I would miss the Reach far too much to depart for marriage. With the tournament, hopefully there are worthy contenders. Local contenders."

"There's bound to be plenty of more local lords and noble sons as well... the Vale is pretty far from here," she agreed with Jyn. They also had to think of what any potential marriage could bring to their house in terms of connections as well. "I suppose the question is who we want to strengthen our ties to?"

[Marten Tremaine]

"Hmmm." Marten murmured. "That's a question." He grimaced.

His grimace deepened. "I don't know. It seems to me that we shouldn't have to be asking around to find people interested in my two smart, beautiful daughters." He grumped, crossing his arms.

[Jynessa Tremaine]

"There are sure to be suitors. But we must find ones that are worthy."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

Mari nodded reluctantly. "Well, based on talk, at least people know we're... eligible for marriage." Another sigh.

"... why do tourneys have to be all full of young eligible people..."
