Alavin wrote:"Excellent!" the mummer cried, grabbing Simon by the arm and pulling him into one of the chain dances. It would be tricky for Simon to extract himself with any decorum before the dance was over. On the upside, his partners were noblewomen; on the downside, every time he changed partners Alavin was right beside him, dancing with the lady he'd just moved on from.
And so the hapless Simon hobbled, trying not to step on any toes as he tumbled through the seemingly arcane and random pattern of steps and hops. Muttering curses under his breath he hoped maester Hubert didn't see what he was doing. The old geezer would harrumph him into oblivion if he had any idea he'd been dancing with the nobles.
Some of the Simon's partners wore really low cut dresses that made him rather uncomfortable and while yes, the weather was was temperate and the great hall was rather warm, he hoped they could have covered their graces. So Simon wobbled, trying to keep his eyes away from the vast tracks of noble Reach lands.
