“I might ask the same of you,” he answered, “I am friends with Lord Elwood, his wife is my cousin.”

[Alicent Feyther]

"That's not far different from my own reason. I don't know if you knew one another or met, but my sister-in-law is a cousin on her mother's side... Dyanna, formerly of House Celtigar. I'm here with my brother, Caim, her husband."

[Ser Cortney Penrose]

“Dyanna,” he murmured, “the name seems familiar, but at Parchments we like to keep our families close. Our line has always been cursed with so few children, cousins and second cousins are raised together like siblings.”

[Alicent Feyther]

She nodded. "Mm... Maybe you have met her, then. She's very talkative. Blonde, but she's kept her hair short for as long as I've known her. It always surprised me from a noblewoman."

"Our family had something like that, if not to that degree, perhaps... until I surprised my parents, anyway." She took a piece of her hair, winding it around one find and then letting it unravel.

[Ser Cortney Penrose]

He thinks for a time, "Dyanna, she's a bit older, isn't she? Rayley's younger." Nodding, "I think that's why I don't recall her so well, I remember the younger cousins better."

[Alicent Feyther]

"Yes... a little less than 10 years older than I am," she agreed.

After a moment, she took a long breath in through her nose and out through her mouth, closing her eyes as she enjoys the cooler night air. "I should come out to the gardens in the evening more often, if it's going to be this pleasant."

[Ser Cortney Penrose]

Cortney stretched and nodded, "indeed, it really is charming."

[Alicent Feyther]

"... If I were to come out here around this time again, would there be a chance of running into each other once more, then?" She asked, looking toward him, violet eyes looking dark in the low light.

He raised an eyebrow and looked at the young woman, "oh, I suppose there is a good chance of that."

[Alicent Feyther]

She let out a bright "hm" sort of noise and smiled cheerfully. "I'm glad, then. That makes it even more appealing."
