"It is... Honestly, most of what I own is a bit unadorned with embroidery for that reason. I rely more on fit and a pretty fabric to make it look nice, usually," she agreed with a smile, then looked down at the mostly black dress she was wearing. "The other one was an exception. But if it's with someone I like, it seems more fun."

Following Alicent's gaze, "it's a lovely dress, it complements your fairness well."

She smiled. "Thank you. Yours always look impeccable. But then, I feel like with your features and hair it would be more difficult for your not to look beautiful."

"Now you're just flattering me," Lysa said with good humour. "If it weren't for the King's," she lowered her voice conspiratorially, "prejudice," she whispered carefully, before returning to a conversational tone, "every woman here would kill for those silvery locks."

"I don't say things that aren't true, " she said with joking affront. She lifted a lock and played with it. "Do you think so? There frustrating thing is that the source of that... issue has nothing to do with me."

[Lysa Meadows]

Lysa scoffed, “good King Robert’s umbrage against Rhaegar and the Mad King is what it is, but,” the girl shook her head, “it’s not proper for ladies to speak of such things, but is a man who orders an infant be wrested from its mother’s arms and killed truly any better than the madman that preceded him?”

“Such talk is treason, of course, but men rarely pay attention to the words of women, and look where that gets us.”

"I assure you, I didn't hear a thing," she replied with a slight smile, then sighed and shook her head. "Sometimes I wonder how the kingdom survives."

“They say Queen Cersei is no simpering fool. Perhaps when her children are grown she’ll be more like our Queen of Thorns,” there was obvious respect as Lysa uttered the moniker.

"I hope that's true. We could use more women in the world like her," she agreed with a nod.

[Lysa Meadows]

“I will raise my sons to seek a woman’s counsel equally,” Lysa stated firmly, quite unaware that, in a few short years she would have two young boys. “I think Dorne just about has the right of it,” she added.
