"I like to imagine that I am a clever teacher, though I will settle for simply clever." Jyn frowned at her own awkward phrasing and took another sip of wine. She nearly spit out the contents when her hand was taken. "What good is the world without its sweet things?" she mused, though her charming bravado was starting to chip away.

[Terrance Stone]

So Leovall's mother had taught him and Liliane to dance, but not poor Terrance. Was that what it was like for a bastard in a family?

"So which one of you two is the better dancer then, as we've already established that Lady Liliane is the most talented?"

"Leo." he answered without hesitation. "Dancing was not something I was taught. I've learned a bit here and there, but that's all."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"Is that so?"

Mari finished her glass of wine and placed it down with a touch of finality to her gesture. "Well then, we can't have that! Ser Leovall, I know I promised a dance with you, but we simply cannot have your relative being a guest here in the Reach and not knowing courtly dances," she said with some insistance in her tone.

Sure, she was no master at dancing either, but she knew most of them.

"As you wish, milady." he bowed after setting down his wine, and extended his hand.

[Mariessa Tremaine]

Mari gave a nod to Leovall, a silent promise that she would not forget the dance she had promised him, before she looked back to Terrance to accept his hand.

"Now, let's see how well you can follow this dance, Terrance," she gave a playful smile as they joined the other dancers.

[Terrance Stone]

"I am willing to follow you anywhere, Mari." he smiled and fell into step.

[Rayley Meadows]

"Jyn, you're too hard on yourself, I don't think you really know how intelligent you are. Or how pretty." Rayley nodded as if to underline her points.

[Ser Harben Varner]

She gave him a smile as warm as a cozy fireplace. "As long as you're willing to forgive me my own missteps, I'm sure you'll have no problem," she replied, laughing in a gentle and self-effacing way.

"What's life, without a few missteps along the way?" Harben was genuine and cheerful, and more than adequate to the task of courtly dances, even if he paled in comparison to Lord Tremaine.

[Jynessa Tremaine]

"Oh I have heard those words many a time from men wanting much from me," Jyn mused with a mock-annoyed face on her look. She traced a finger across her wine glass and then looked to Rayley. "But never has it been from a proper noblewoman such as yourself." Her cheeks turned bright red and she hid it behind her glass.

[Rayley Meadows]

Smiling, "I hope you know I'm speaking the truth," her tone sweetly earnest. "I'm sorry that the men in your life have been so lacking."
