“A nice shawl would be thoughtful, the evenings can still feel a touch cool,” Shana answered, “and a lady can never have too many accessories.”

Marten grinned, inclining his head. "Right. Something that I've become aware of, over the years. I'm thankful that I learned it so early." Not that it had been lack of accessory purchasing that had doomed his marriage, of course.

He sighed, not unpleasantly. "Well then, I suppose we'll have to see what we can find first. Leave it to chance." He looked at her. "Unless you happen to know where these things might be found? I'm sure you know the area better than I."

Shana did, in fact, know Market Row like the back of her own hand, but decided to play the fool for a moment. Pointing, “that looks like a tailors shop, the kind of things you’re looking for will probably be nearby.”

Marten gave her a slightly curious look. "Very well, than."

He was content to stroll along slowly, not minding the rain, although he glanced at Shana to make sure she wasn't uncomfortable. "Not the best day for a stroll, but pleasant enough." He smiled. "Besides, I need to stretch out a bit after the event earlier."

Shana suppressed a grin, handed the perfect opening, she was not going to let it slip past her. “I don’t mind the rain, a little water never did any lasting harm to a dress or hairstyle. And it makes things seem so clean.” Fortunately, the overhangs of the shops provided some protection, even if it made the street feel more crowded that it was.

With a coquettish flutter of her lashes, “I saw you at the event this morning.”
