"Oh I am sure you are. I am sure you are," she said, a bit resigned. Jyn looked around at the other guests with a slight frown. "I fear that perhaps all of the men here, vast as they may be in number, are all lacking in a certain regard."

[Rayley Meadows]

Looking troubled, Rayley squeezed Jynessa's hand, "we'll always have each other," she promised. As the evening grew late, and more and more men retired from the dance floor, the ratio of ladies to partners had noticeably skewed. Setting her wine glass aside, "let's show them what they're missing."

Dance: Status (Breeding) 16

[Jynessa Tremaine]

Jynessa joined Rayley on the dance floor with her cheeks still burning hot. Her movements were stilted and nervous as she followed along the other woman's lead. "I am starting to get a bit warm. Perhaps there is some place to look at the night sky?"

[Rayley Meadows]

Concerned for the other woman, "why don't we step out into the gardens for a moment?"

[Jynessa Tremaine]

"The gardens. I just hope you will not be missed," she said, though she made her way towards the exit immediately.

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"I am willing to follow you anywhere, Mari." he smiled and fell into step.

"I..." Mari looked around them as the dance brought them close together.

"... Do you really mean that?"

[Terrance Stone]

"I told you. I'm not very good at lying." he answered. "I've greatly enjoyed our moments together."

[Leovall Marten]

Not willing to interrupt he'd stayed quiet except a few nods and a courtly bow at the end. Well, that and a comment to Terrance that he wasn't that much better. Regardless, when Mari invited Terrance to dance he smiled and lifted his cup to the both of them. It'll have to be another song another time.

Turning back to the tables and groups enjoying food and drink he resumes his earlier quest; getting back to his own table to sit down! When he's finally there he greets the pair of Marten knights that did come with a grin. "My cousins are much more successful than I tonight."

"Age before beauty Ser." The older remarks wryly, flashing a rare smirk.

"Don't you start Ser Adrew." Leovall replies with amusement as the other knight, Ser Melvan, chuckles in between big gulps of ale.

Having a sip of his own drink Leovall looks up and speaks to himself. "There's always tomorrow."

"What's life, without a few missteps along the way?" Harben was genuine and cheerful, and more than adequate to the task of courtly dances, even if he paled in comparison to Lord Tremaine.

"Less interesting, certainly," she agreed with a smile as she followed along.

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"I told you. I'm not very good at lying." he answered. "I've greatly enjoyed our moments together."

Mari blushed, glancing around to make sure her father or Kevith weren't glaring in their directions.

"... And you're a much better dancer than you give yourself credit for."
