"I imagine that's because so many in the Vale place a great value on having blood of their forebears, the Andals. Do you feel the same?" She inquired curiously, trying not to let her true purpose for asking show through. It was possible that being from a port city he was more open-minded about different bloods and cultures, but she'd not presume aloud.

Her question has him chuckling and looking rather amused. "We've married out before. In fact our House founder married a woman from here... the Reach. It's why we have a marten in our coat of arms." Leovall goes on to explain. "We're tied to the Varners." There is a small shrug. "It's a distant connection now, but one all the same."
