Wide Open Spaces (Day1, Late Afternoon)

[Terrance Stone]

"My sister did the same a few times." he nodded appreciatively as he moved over to Llyan. "I hope we all get chance to hunt while we're here."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"I'm certain there will be opportunities," she mused with a knowing smile before returning to the saddle with ease. Though she did spend a few moments to rearrange her clothes a little.

"If not arranged by our hosts, many will be taking trips out because I'm sure a tournament gets a little bit boring eventually. Are you competing too?"

[Terrance Stone]

"I hadn't intended to, but I've learned not to rule anything out." he shrugged, before climbing into the saddle on top Llyan. "I'll definitely do some hunting."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"Well," she gave the reins a light tug and Valerian easily obeyed. "I will speak with my father and see if perhaps we could arrange something with our families. If that sounds agreeable to you and yours, of course. I understand there might be a lot you wish to see and experience while you are here."

[Terrance Stone]

"That would be nice." he smiled. "Among those things we'd like to do, is meeting and gaining a better understanding of other Houses that we might build connections with."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"I understand that is how it usually is for gatherings like this, althought... this is my first time attending a tourney," she admitted bashfully.

[Terrance Stone]

"I don't usually travel." he said. "My uncle felt I should this time, to support his son and represent the House in my own way."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

"In your own way?" she chuckled, bringing her horse next to his with a pleasant pace.

"And what is your own way, if I may ask?" Perhaps it was just the way she was, but she sounded genuinly interested.

[Terrance Stone]

"I don't carry my father's name, but I serve my house." he replied. "My cousin and my sister represent our nobility, but I am Master of the Hunt."

[Mariessa Tremaine]

Mariessa regarded him silently for a few moments. Not the kind of mild disdain one might show a bastard, but more like she was taking stock of a man who was slowly impressing her.

"It might sound weird to say it, but you are one of the few bastards I have met. There has been a Flower or two that I have seen in passing, when we've visited here before, but at home in Riverrest, I have never once met one before. But..." she smiled a little shyly in his direction, before looking ahead, "well... you certainly seem more noble than some other men I have met."
